10 reason's to be happy its's January

The days are getting Longer!

21st of December has been and gone and we are on the downhill heading to spring. The pretty little buds appear and the vision of blossom covering the garden, all the baby pinks and the subtle yellows delicately laying an optimistic view on the season compared to dullness of Winter. Also those layers that you have been piling on since September, and were on one hand making you way too hot as soon as you left the house yet as soon as you gave in and took 1 of 5 woolly jumpers off, your core temperature dropped around 10c – not literally! However, in Spring I feel like the temperature is just a lot fresher and it allows you to layer whilst not getting overly hot.

Not just spring, but also summer!

Although Spring is closest, that smell of a barbecue wafting down from 3 doors along, the feeling of freshly cut grass gently tickling in-between your toes as you nip back inside for the knives and forks, and dessert of choice come firmly back into fashion, with strawberries and cream (also a sprinkling of mint leaf!), all of this is nearer and you are firmly in the year of the 2017 summer – although in England there isn’t much of the sun and the tan usually associated with summer but I guess the thought is still there.

Post-Christmas Sales

One thing that really annoys me about gifting in December is that you know full well that the £20 present you are buying will magically turn into a tenner. Therefore throughout the Christmas Period it’s just “I’ll get you something nice in January when I can buy; in bed, online, and it’s cheaper” – But don’ worry I will get you something… I promise! And the beautiful combination of the price and the fact that you don’t even have to move away from your bed or coffee just makes the whole experience of chaotic and expensive December shopping seem a bit pointless compared to the ‘Sale-Queen’ you become in January.

A new drive

January is just an extra reason to read all those books that plainly just sat on your shelf since last February, improve on something, or start working towards your goal – however there is nothing wrong in starting to work on your dream at any point in the year – therefore, January is not a boring or unfulfilled month but should just be the beginning of something incredible!

My final and last reason of why you should be happy in January is because; It’s only 12 months to Christmas! No, I’m only joking but honestly, January should be a time of putting plans into action and chasing your dreams to turn them into your very own reality!
